Our Mission
The Melos Institute is dedicated to creating and disseminating a comprehensive body of knowledge         for the advancement of membership-based organizations.

Our Vision
The Melos Institute is dedicated to building a more self-actualized and enlightened society.

Our Long-Term Goals
Building and maintaining a principles-based systems-oriented body of knowledge is a monumental task.           The following steps reflect our long-range goals and the actions we will take in the months and years to come.

Research

  • Analyze the structure and function of membership-based organizations.
  • Identify their principles, processes and practices.
  • Determine or create the models, resources and technologies that support sustainability.
  • Publish and disseminate the results to build awareness and encourage adoption.

Education

  • Transform the information and knowledge into productive learning experiences.
  • Convert the information and knowledge into relevant references, resources and tools.

Our Approach
We work with individuals and institutions to find new ways for membership-based organizations to deliver a     fulfilling experience for their members. Our efforts are focused on assembling a comprehensive principles-based systems-oriented  body of knowledge that helps these organizations build highly engaged membership communities. Within these communities leaders learn how to empower their members to achieve their personal and professional goals. This allows members to make valuable contributions into the larger society.

Our Commitment
We are a nonprofit think-tank focused solely on generating the information, knowledge, models, practices and tools that will ensure the success and sustainability of membership-based organizations.
